      Build the center compartment sideways or see if you can bring the sides up where the plates will meet evenly again. I'd also recess the round tiles and only use one on the center compartment.

      @~JD~ tried sideways but if I do that I can't attach anything where those lights above the wheel is

      If it's a two door center compartment then the handle will be more forward, with that you could attach a 1x1 brick with a stud on the side facing down where you can attach plates.
