  1. Updated the site today! Added several new apparatus and a new station to the district. Also, if anyone is interested, I can make a duplicate of any apparatus you see on the site and will sell the duplicate. PM me for a quote today!

  2. Had some MAJOR updating done on the website the other day. Decided to add another station to the district and I am currently deciding to shift equipment to cover the new location or to just buy bricks to build new equipment. Too bad college costs so much! :/

Ah, getting started on college front to huh! Yeah man, talk about expensive. I'd look over your current station rosters and see if you can reassign any units to the new one. If the station needs something that can be reassigned then buy more parts.

      I agree with JD.

I would say to see what you can do about re-assigning units, and for units you need more of buy the bricks.  Some combination of the two would probably work best.

  3. Updated the website a little bit today! Be sure to go check out the news section at http://sanlegoobispovfd.weebly.com/!

you do not have me on mutual aid, even though earlier this year we signed a contract about it.

  4. Huge update on the SLOFD website. Many new additions and changes!

  5. Happy Birthday SanLegoObispoFireDistrict!

  6. Some major updates are taking place for the SLOFD. Rebuilding Rescue 3, adding unit numbers to all apparatus and also downsizing at Station 4 (The Airport). Look forward to images in the next couple of days.

  7. I decided to switch all the windows and doors on my Station 6 to clear, so I have 34 2x2 trans blue window panes, 15 1x4x6 trans blue window panes and a 1x4x6 trans blue door if anyone is interested. Just send me a PM.

  8. Does anyone know a Frank Cory? He's sending me emails left and right about doing mutual aid with his department. I'm kind of curious to who the kid is before I contact him back.

So he's bad news I take it... Maybe not a good idea to offer mutual aid to him then?

I wouldn't trust him. Check out this topic, you'll find out a lot of information about him based on various emails: http://www.emergencybricks.com/community/topic/2140-imposter-warning/

He contacted me then bailed when I asked about payment.. if you're going to build a rig make sure you get payment first..

  9. It's ridiculous how much I jus spent on bricks for Station 6... I probabaly won't be building another station for quite a while now.

Sorry for all the typos, my laptop keys keep sticking. lol it's brand new so I just need to break them in a little bit.

I can imagine since farming is a pretty big industry up there! It's fine about the typo's, just open a document provider and type away! That should break it in! :P

I think once school starts and all the typing that is required for English Comp, the keyboard will be broken in in no time!

  10. Could someone help me with the uploading of an LDD file to my Bricklink wish list?! I don't know if there is an easier way than manually uploading each individual piece.

  11. Finally got around to doing some updates to the website. Check it out! http://sanlegoobispovfd.weebly.com/

  12. Does anyone know if Lonebrick is a taken department/town name? I think I may build a new station if it is available and it'll be an expansion of the SLOFD.

Usually Googling <insert term here> will return any results or traces of what you're looking for. I haven't heard of the name before. If it is taken so what? Use it anyway.

I didn't find anything on the name, so I'm going to use it now for the location of the 6th station in the district.

      Shotgun! It is now, Muhahaha.

  13. Although it really isn't an emergency vehicle, how would one go about building a salt spreader attachment for a truck? Just a dump bed or a tank?

    1. davidzq

      davidzq

I've only ever seen dump beds, though they often have covers over them.

    2. SanLegoObispoFireDistrict

      SanLegoObispoFireDistrict

That's all Nebraska Dept. of Roads uses, and since they keep driving by clearing the highway, I might as well use a design similar to their trucks. :P

  14. So I think I may want to add something other than Pierce equipment to my department... I just dont know what I want though. Any ideas?

      SanLegoObispoFireDistrict

See, that's also a problem. I feel as if most of my needs are covered. Unless I add another station to the district and add more land area to cover... Then I can see room for expansion, but then I'm back to what manufacturer to add to the department.

My personal reccomendations are Seagrave, Spartan ERV, and American LaFrance (Even though the are out of business, their older models are nice). KME and HME are nice too, along with Ferrara.

Spartan and KME are the way to go. E-one isn't bad either.
